Eden Newsletter: 2007 Charity Food Fair

Madelene of Eden Handicap Service Centre has taken the liberty to compile news, events and updates on the activities carried out by the organization into Newsletters. And she has also put them all up in the website so that members of the public can have a general idea of what Eden Handicap does, and most importantly, how they can help Eden Handicap.
One of the major activities held this year so far was the Annual Charity Food Fair, which was held on 9th June, 2007 at the grounds of Kompleks Masyarakat Penyayang. For Eden Handicap, it was a splendidly successful event - about RM 151K was raised in a mere 3 hours in a joint effort between the public and supporters!
A total of 112 stalls featuring different cuisines were served, all 100% sponsored by hotels, companies such as KPMG, Fairchild Semiconductor, churches, NGOs, generous individuals from Eden Handicap’s regular supporters as well as new comers. The most attractive stall of the day was undeniably the Indonesian Consulate stall which was decorated with colourful umbrellas, striking table cloth matched with Indonesian display items.
This is perhaps the most arduous of the tasks required during this event but it gives everyone involved the most satisfaction not only because we’re doing it for a good cause but also because of the display of unselfish cooperation and team work by everyone.
