Blogathon 2007

Wrapping up Blogathon 2007

Posted by pelf on July 29, 2007

Blogathon 2007OK.. I am exhausted, but who isn’t??!! I’ve spent the last 24 hours typing away and I haven’t eaten a proper meal! All I’ve had were butter cakes, lots of biscuits, a few bars of chocolates, a bottle of passion fruit yogurt, a bottle of strawberry yogurt, lots of water and coffee!!

Anyway, this will be my concluding post, and I am glad I have survived Blogathon. I am glad I have participated in it because it has really put my blogging and writing and purging skills into good use, hahaha..

I hope that you have a learned a little about disability-related issues while following my blog, and I wish to thank all of you who have left me comments and encouragements and who have kept me awake during the ungodly hours when the rest of the world was sleeping.. Thank you very much also to all my sponsors, I am truly indebted to you guys, and I just don’t know what to say.. The pledges that kept coming in was what kept me motivated to write the next post, and the next, and the next..

I will post a THANK YOU note to all my sponsors after this. Please note that you will also receive an email from Blogathon.org soon, with some instructions on how to fulfill your pledges. I have done my job, and now it’s your turn :) If you need more information or clarification, please send me an email, and I will guide you through the process. But before that, please, let me get some zzzz…

So, once again, a very big THANK YOU to all of you who have made this possible!! :)

Eden Handicap Service CentreThe following is a short note from Madelene Tye of Eden Handicap Service Centre.

First and foremost, I would like to thank all of you who have supported Pelf’s participation in this year’s blogathon. Your non-stop cheering and sponsorships to Pelf meant a great deal to her as well as Eden Handicap Service Centre.

We — from Eden Handicap Service Centre — are most grateful to all of you for your continuous support. Your participation and contributions are milestones in our effort to make lives more meaningful for the less fortunate and people with disabilities in the community.

Thank you once again to ALL of you who had given much motivation to Pelf and your joint effort to raise funds for Eden Handicap Service Centre. We truly appreciate your kind gesture, and we look forward to hearing from you in the future.

Sincerely,
Bertie and Madelene Tye
On behalf of Eden Handicap Service Centre

Final summary

Posted by pelf on

Blogathon 2007OK, this will be my final summary as I know I have been writing a couple of summaries for each topic that I have blogged about in the last 23 hours.. So forgive me, but there are bound to be some statistics, but I promise to keep them as simple as possible :)

This is my 47th post, and in another hour, Blogathon will end. I know it’s still early but I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have dropped by and said “Hello” and to those who pledged to donate to Eden Handicap Service Centre during the Blogathon.

So far, 33 generous sponsors have pledged to donate to Eden Handicap Service Centre at the end of the Blogathon.

And some 778.17 USD were raised since the beginning of the July. You may still make a pledge up to 48 hours after the Blogathon. So if you haven’t sponsored me and think that I have done a good job creating and spreading awareness on disabilities-related issues, please consider sponsoring me NOW. It’s not too late :)
