24-hour environment hotline

Posted by pelf on September 6, 2007

Good news for Malaysians! :)

Apparently, if you noticed any open burning in the middle of the night, or any broken pipes in the wee hours of the morning, you may contact the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry because its hotline number will be operational 24-hours, beginning Monday (Sept 10).

This will make it easier for the public to make their grouses known. They can also use the hotline to channel any opinion or proposal regarding the management of their environment and to improve the quality of our service.

- Dr Amerjit Singh, Chief of the Public Relations Unit, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment

The 24-hour hotline number is 1800-88-2727.
