Get married on a wild beach

This post is written for the “Save the Ocean” group-writing project by nimrodjo, who began blogging in 2007, and created nimrodjo.com to convey his ideas and share his thoughts on his interests and “research” on life. Why would you get married on a beach? First of all, it would be a unique ceremony. Secondly, who wouldn’t dream of such a wedding and getting married on a wild beach? But how do you define a wild beach?

Is this a wild beach to you?

Or maybe, this one?

Whatever kind of beach you choose to get married on, it is definitely one that is connected to the sea, the OCEAN. However, our beaches will never appear beautiful and clean if anybody decided to litter on the beach. Now, will you even think about getting married on polluted beaches like this?

I am sure the above image of a polluted beach will give you the idea. Now, who do you think is responsible for taking care of our beaches and oceans? Our government? Our local municipal council? Our neighbour?

It always saddens me whenever I visit a beach littered with rubbish. I always say to myself, “If this goes on and on and on, our younger generation will never see a clean beach.” If we don’t do anything (yes, you and me), to at least help pick up the rubbish, in 10 years or so, nobody will get to see a clean beach anymore or even see the beach it self.

The least we can do is educate our young generations to appreciate our beaches and oceans. So perhaps, after listening to our advise about the conservation of our beaches and oceans, they will dream of getting married on a wild and vibrant beach, with a beautiful island as a background for the ceremony.
