Hi Pelf, thanks in total agreement with what you are saying.. :)
re: Blog Action Day
One of the nice 'rules' with Blog Action Day, is their suggestion that there should be a 'relation' in the BlogActionDay post of participating blogs between the blog's overall 'subject' and the environment. (they gave an example that a blog about money might do a blog post about the financial consequences of environmental actions, for example, etc.)
As I mentioned in my above comment, I will do a B.A.D. post about the marketing of bottled water on my Dutch language marketing blog Marketing•Review.
On my English language blog "NoDirectOn (not: NoDirection)", there is a category called BlogLOve, and I am thinking to do a Blog Action Day episode of that series about TheGivingHands.org.
Maybe you can point me to some features on this blog that I should not miss to write about?
-Kindest regards, -Jos:)

Hi Jos, thank you very much for the kind words :) You may use whatever material you find here on your blog. It's all for spreading awareness, right?

The more aware people are of their environment, the more they are obliges to do their part in making Mother Nature healthier :)

Great Blog, Pelf! Thanks for the invite to come and see. I have browsed around a bit and have seen lots of stuff I really like. I would love to use some of the information that I have seen here on my own blogs.. There's many posts here that are excellent in creating a higher awareness. I like the pieces on 'not to drink bottled water' very much and I will use them as a reference in the piece in Dutch language that I will be doing on Blog Action Day on one of my other blogs.
Good Job!

Apparently the ice cap has melted enough to make the fabled northwest passage actually passable.
