To the discovery of CBD
If there is one substance that has been in the news a lot lately, it is CBD. Although offering significant benefits on the well-being of your body, CBD does not have psychoactive properties, like those that come from its closest relative: THC. Anyway, let's find out a little more about CBD.
What should you know about CBD ?
CBD is an ingredient of marijuana. It is the second most active. It must be distinguished from delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the other most known cannabinoid. CBD does not have a euphoric effect. It has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as non-addictive, non-toxic, safe and well-tolerated when consumed, even at high doses.

What is the different between CBD and THC ?
THC and CBD are cannabinoids. The most active is the THC. This is why in people's minds cannabis is very much related to THC. They are found in cannabis. In reality, Cannabis contains both THC and CBD but these two compounds have very different effects.
What made the fame of THC is its psychotropic effect. Indeed, once broken down the heat and introduced into the body, this substance acts on the state of mind. When it is smoked or ingested, it has the same effect. It is because of its psychoactive effects that THC-based products are illegal in France.
On the other hand, CBD has not psychoactive effect. Thus, the consumption of CBD is virtually harmless to the body. The only known toxic substances in CBD products come from the production of the plant and everything that is introduced into the production process downstream (pesticides, vaping liquid additives, etc.).
